An Important Note About The Information In This Web Site
by Lady Maat

Over the years I have been contacted by several of the authors of various articles and information found within this web site. In most cases I had posted the information as 'author unknown' and they were letting me know who they were and how they wanted their work attributed.  In a couple of cases they were angry that I had not requested their permission before publishing the article. And they were correct to be angry -- copyright violation is a serious offense.

I have been gathering information for the last 20 years, and only in the last five years has that gathering been online. I fully admit that when I first went online I was not rigorous about noting where I got my information from, or who the author was. Please remember that it was not that long ago that the attitude on the 'Net and Web was to ignore copyrights and just spread information as widely as possible. We are all much better now, but much attribution has been lost.

I mean the authors no offense in publishing their work here, and have done my best to correctly credit them for their articles, ideas, and opinions. If you are an author (or know who the author is) of an unattributed or incorrectly attributed article found on this site, please contact me and allow me to correct the error.

I do, however, request that you allow me to keep the correctly attributed work on this web site. All too often, Pagans searching for knowledge online are bombarded with unhelpful, inaccurate, or downright untrue information. All of the work found on this site is information that I found valuable, spoke a truth, and/or offered a point of view that was refreshing and important. I will gladly link your article to your web site, add biographical information, or consider any other reasonable request to ensure you receive full recognition for your work.

The web site as a whole is copyrighted to me, since it is my concept and design.  But the contents are yours and yours alone, with all rights reserved to you, as stated on the front page, and throughout the web site.  Far from desiring to claim another author's work as my own, I would much prefer to make readers aware of the people who've brought these ideas into being and where else they can find good information. All works belong to the original authors, with all rights reserved by them.

As we all know, there is a great deal of misinformation and general crap to be found online. This web site is my attempt to provide a broad background in a variety of Pagan-oriented topics. My desire is to help seekers learn, think, and hopefully decide for themselves what is or isn't useful for them without having to sift through most of the dross found out there. If you are an author of any of the works found on this site, know that your voice speaks loudly here and I wish to continue to promote you as a person with valuable wisdom to share with the world.

thank you,
Lady Maat
