Well, it is a pleasure to be working with you once again. During the
next twenty-eight to thirty days we want to continue working with you.
We want to connect with you by helping you receive clearer, more helpful
insights and answers in your meditations.
Previously we talked about getting more magic out of your meditations.
During that discussion we suggested that many of you have
very beautiful
meditative experiences. Some of you work with the guided
meditations upon
which we take you in workshops; others work with the cassette
or videotapes.
And yet others of you have your own unique style and method of
altered-state work.
Your experiences can be beautiful.
The guided imagery and visualizations that your higher selves,
your
counselors or any other of your unseen friends take you on
can be more than beautiful. They can be powerful and magical.
And now
you can get even more magic out of your meditations.
As well as getting more magic, you can also receive more answers
-
clearer, more helpful answers.
Currently, while meditating you do receive answers. They can come
in so
many different ways. While in meditation you seem to
understand the symbols and the metaphors. There is a clarity
that is so
gratifying. Sometimes the meditative answers seem so
obvious that you are surprised that you didn't "think" of it
first.
Then you open your eyes and come out of the meditative state.
As we
described before, all of a sudden the magic is no longer
there; the magic somehow, as though squeezed through a wringer,
got left
behind in the meditation and did not seem to make it
back into your physical reality. The same thing can happen with
those
answers - clear and obvious - that were so evident in
meditation. They also seem to be left behind in your meditations.
To receive clearer, more helpful answers in your meditations and
to
bring those answers back with you, it is important to focus
on creating more magic. We have already talked about how to bring
back
what magic you do create; now let's talk about
creating more magic in the first place. If your meditations are
currently magical but nothing ever comes of it, nothing results
from
it, your meditations can become fanciful escapes from the physical
world
of your own creation. Such meditations can become a
way to observe the wonders and the beauties without ever experiencing
them beyond your closed-eye fantasy world. That is not
what you want for yourself. Thrilling at first, such meditations
and
such experiences are not really self-loving. Fun at first, in
time
such experiences become tedious and boring. You wonder why you
are
bothering. You begin to question, "Yes, I have very
magical experiences; so what? I'll just keep having the same
level, the
same depth of magic. I'll keep using it as some sort of an
escape."
But you see, when you really learn to bring that magic out, when
you
really allow yourself to bring that magic from the meditation
into physical reality, then there is much more room in meditation,
and
there are many more reasons to create a deeper, more
profound sense of magic. Out of this come those clear, more valuable
answers that are so vital to your growth and change.
Always reaching and stretching in your current reality you are
looking
to that future that you will be creating. You know that you
can choose a future that is a nightmare or a dream. You can choose
a
future that is a mediocrity. In order to create more
elegantly, more successfully, more excellently - in order to
create that
dream, a future that is beautiful and filled with wonder and
miracles - you must do more than just turn to meditation, no
matter how
magical or how many answers you find there.
We do not diminish your meditative experience; it is beautiful,
and can
be filled with magic and with answers. No, we do not
diminish your meditation. But it must become more.
Now, there are those who turn to meditation only as a last resort
when
all other solutions seem to fail or to be unavailable. There
are those who turn to their altered states out of fear and as
a fear
choice. Some turn to meditation with their skepticism, all the
while wondering why they are doing so. But none of these are
you. You
might have been in those places but you do not have to
be there now. This is not you.
Even so, some of you do not turn to your meditations as you could,
perhaps rightly so. Although your meditations have some
magic in them and answers come to you, that magic and those answers
do
not return with you. Though created in meditation,
they do not manifest in reality. Creating is not enough; manifesting
is
increasingly the key. Why?
In your world the objective consensus reality is becoming more
and more
subjective while the previously dismissed subjective
reality is becoming more and more objective. You know this. And
yet
meditation, which has been so subjective before, is
becoming more and more objective, too.
As the world's paradigm of causation continues to shift and reshape
itself, as self-determination truly becomes
self-determination, it is increasingly important that you learn
to rely
upon the meditative inner answers with their inner knowing
and inner wisdom. Thus, the necessity and vitality of receiving
clearer,
more helpful answers from meditation becomes
paramount.
You are fast moving through these 1990s. You are fast moving through
the
most monumental decade in the history of
humankind. As you soon conclude this decade, century and millennium,
you
will come to know yourself as the mapmaker,
dreamer/dream weaver you truly are. You will come to know yourself
as
the vision maker and reality creator you are. You will
come to appreciate the magician and the miracle maker/miracle
worker you
have become. For all this to be more than fantasy
or frustration, one of the solutions and resolutions lies in
more
magical meditations and clearer answers from those meditations.
There are so many more reasons about which we could talk. And
you have
so many reasons of your own. Let us begin.
FOUR-WEEK PLAN
Week number one: You have already worked with awakening the brain;
now
it is time to sharpen it. This week the exercise is
called Flushing the Brain. We recommend that you do this meditation
sitting up. However, if for some reason it is critical that
you lie down, okay. You can adapt it for lying down.
You can do this as its own meditation. It might be worth mentioning
that
you can attach this procedure to any other meditative
activity within your regimen of meditations. It can work to prefix
or
suffix your meditations. It can be easily worked into the
middle of such activity, too.
Now, for the next seven days we want you to flush your brain.
That is,
we encourage you to visualize as follows: your head
opens wide, your brain opens up, and then a flow of water - crystal
clear, sparkling wonderful water - flows into your brain. Be
specific with detailing this visual: See the brain stem filling
up with
this flow of water; see the limbic brain filling up and starting
to
spill over. Finally watch the cerebrum and the cerebral cortex
filling
up. Sense it spilling over and flowing all over and throughout
your brain. Sense it filling the ventricles of the brain as well,
see it
full and overflowing.
Now, what about the stuff you are going to flush? You are going
to flush
your brain of its residue. You are going to flush it of the
thoughts and feelings that are lodged there. You are going to
flush the
memories of pain and hurt and of suffering and struggle.
The first things that overflow are going to be vile stuff. It
might be
dark and thick with a foul smell as well as a foul look. It might
be sludgy, heavy, rank. Perhaps it will have a weird color.
Let all this stuff just spill over your head, run down, oooh,
run down
your face. Let it tickle as it crosses your cheeks and lips
and as it drips off your chin. Shudder as it runs down your chest,
your
breast and across your shoulders. The more visual you
can get with it, the more effective it is going to be and the
more your
subconscious and unconscious mind will play and allow the
flush to occur.
So you are going to flush, and you keep flushing until eventually
all
the sludge and all the distasteful stuff is gone. Then all that
comes out is flowing water - clear, beautiful, wonderful, incredibly
beautiful water.
With the initial flush complete, now you flush something of your
desire.
What are you going to flush? Well, it depends upon the
mood you are in. Today you might flush self-pity maybe tomorrow
it's
anger. Maybe it will be martyrdom the next day or maybe
it is today. Maybe hurt is the issue right now that needs immediate
attention. Flush whatever happens to be there. It is your
choice. It is important that you choose - a willed choice. Even
though
the current flush might be spontaneous, it is important that
you consciously choose what will be flushed. Even if that choice
is in
the moment, it must be your choice.
In this flush, again, keep flushing until the waters run clear,
sparkling and beautiful. Once the water has returned to clear,
the
third flush happens. The first flush is of something unplanned.
It is
something that surprises you when it is flushed out. It might
be
something unknown or unsuspected or something that you are aware
of that
still comes up unexpectedly. It is sudden; it is a
surprise. Let it bubble up and out of you. "Oh, what was that?"
Don't worry about it. It doesn't matter during these first seven
days of
flushing the brain if you know what it is or not. More
importantly, we want you to sense the experience of something
bubbling
up and releasing. "I don't know what that was,
something negative, something hurtful, something distasteful,
certainly
so. I don't know what it was, but nonetheless I released it;
I flushed it; I let it out of my system."
Once that bubbles up and the last thing is out, then fill your
brain
with a brilliant light and feel wonderful, happy, successful,
powerful, together, very spiritual, very mystical, very much
feel the
future that you are becoming. And that is the conclusion of
your first week of activity.
Week number two: Last week you flushed your brain; this week we
want you
to empty your heart. Again, we want you to
visualize. And again, this will work best if you sit up, and
you can
adapt it to lying down if that is important to you. As with last
week's activity, this week's emptying of heart can stand alone
as a
meditation or can precede or follow your other meditative
regimen.
Visualize: See your heart using whatever symbol or metaphor appeals
to
you. You can be as anatomically correct as you wish,
or you can just sense the heart as this vessel, this cup, this
spherical
sort of organ located inside you, as abstractly as you want.
What is important is that you understand that this is a symbol
or
metaphor - it is a representation of your heart.
Now, as you sense your heart in this way, notice that at the
gravitational bottom of your heart there is a sediment. Notice
a very
thick, syrupy, molasseslike sediment at the bottom. This sediment
is all
the stuff from the past - you know, the hurt, the pain, the
loneliness, the betrayal, the abandonment. In the past you played
it
out, acted it out, lived it. Now it is residue. Perhaps it is
now
guilt that has turned to resentment. It could be self-pity that
has
become bitterness. It might be martyrhood that has become
punishing numbness.
This residue, this sediment, appears to be boiled down. It is
very thick
and syrupy. It is concentrated and denseþ there is no
excess. As with so many emotions filled with feeling and thought
in your
life, it is boiled down and sits heavy in the heart.
Visualize it. Also know what it is. Know its various components.
Know
its ingredients. Know what makes up your particular,
unique, and quite individual sediment.
Now open a little drain. In whatever way you visualize this, open
a tiny
drain in the bottom of the sediment. It begins to drip out
drop by drop. It will begin slowly at first, as the sediment
at the
bottom is particularly thick. The first drops might form and
just
cling for a while. Hanging there, they are almost solid. Finally,
ping,
it drops. Then another droplet will form, very slowly getting
bigger and bigger until it's too heavy to hold, and then. . .
ping.
ln time the drips will become more tluid and liquid. They will
drop more
quickly. Ping, ping, ping, ping. . . . In time it will
almost flow until the last of it, like the very first of it,
clings
there hanging on the edge. There will be one last shimmering
little
bubble of residue, of sediment, until. . . ping.
You need not worry about where all these drops goslow fast and
then slow
again. They are dropping out of your body. Focus
on imagining the sediment finally being gone; sense it being
gone. It
might take five minutes; it might take ten or fifteen minutes,
depending upon the detail and upon how much sediment is there.
Let it
all drain out. Just when you are sure it is all out, one
more drop will fall.
One more drop. . . "What's that?" You do not need to know the
answer to
that question just yet. Just let that one more drop -
that one more ingredient that one other thing that you did not
anticipate, that something you did not plan - drip out of you.
Ping.
And once that last drop drips just as with the last flush of
your brain,
fill your heart with light. Fill it with light and love, and
feel
the burst of love light and wonder inside you. Feel the laughter,
the
joy, the healing that is there; feel and know the healing of
your heart. You might feel your higher self come to touch your
heart and
fill it with the love and the light. We will come to touch
your heart if you so desire.
Week number three: This week the process is more meditative. As
with the
previous weeks, it can stand alone or be attached
to your other meditative procedures. Though we encourage you
to sit up
sitting up or lying down does not matter during this
week's activity. Due to the significance and the intensity of
this
experience, you might want to do it a few times as a stand-alone
meditation.
Go into a relaxed state. In that gentle state find yourself at
an ocean
beach. If not ocean, then at a beach beside a large body of
water - one large enough to be an ocean. Find yourself there
at whatever
time of day works best Eor you. For some it might be
early morning before the Sun rises, for others the middle of
the morning
before the Sun has reached her zenith. Perhaps it is in
the laze of afternoon that you find yourself by the water's edge.
Some
choose twilight time, others prefer the night of evening,
and yet others like the dark called the dead of night. It does
not
matter, but make it a very wonderful time, a beautiful time.
Be
alone, in solitude in the quiet of the beach at your favorite
time or
the most important time of day for you.
Once you are there, sit and just watch the water, trying not to
do
anything in particular. Do not try to solve any problem or seek
any answer. Just be without any attention to doing. Just be.
Just be
with the sea. Watch and listen. Watch and listen to the
rhythm of you and the rhythm of the sea. Just you and the sea.
Notice
that the sea is always working. Whether the day is good
or bad, whether it's active or passive, whether it is a weekday,
weekend, night or day, whether there has been a worldwide
crisis or a worldwide peace, the sea is always doing what she
does. And
you just sense that. Sense the beauty of that, the
elegance of that, the wonder of that.
Once you are in this state of peace and tranquillity, in this
resonance,
bring in your higher self or your counselors or both. Bring
in whatever cocreator you want. You do not want too big a crowd,
but
allow in whomever you desire. For some we will be
glad to be with you; however, we never insist that we be a part
of your
process. Those who gather with you also sit silently on
this beach, at water's edge. They sit with you and they watch
and listen
with you. Silent. Watch the waves ebbing and flowing.
As each wave goes out, let go of your payoff. Whatever your payoff
might
be for not getting clear answers, whatever your
payoff might be that stands in the way of the valued answers,
let it go.
Whatever stands in the way of getting correct and helpful
information, whatever keeps your meditations from being magical,
let go
of those payoffs.
As you sense it, at first you might not know what the payoff is.
Precisely. You just sense yourself letting it go. As the waves
withdraw - as the sea crashes against the sand and then retreats
into
the ocean, into the body of waterwith the retreat sense the
letting go, the release of the payoff. You might well know what
it is,
but even if you do not, let it go. Let it go.
Maybe on the first or second or third day you do not really know
what
the payoffs are, but by the third, fourth and fifth and in
the sixth and certainly by the last, you can realize what payoffs
you
are releasing. And once you have released these payoffs,
your higher self will reach into you. Its hand will seem to go
right
through your skin. It will reach into you to remove something
and throw it away. It will toss that residue out into the ocean.
Splash!. . . it goes into the water. It is taken away.
Now in this sensing it may take several minutes - two, five, fifteen
-
when you begin this procedure at the beginning of week
three. It depends upon your veracity; it depends upon how thoroughly
you
work with imagining and with watching the waves. In
time, according to your cadence, you can let go of the payoffs.
Then as we say, your higher self can reach into you. No matter
how
vividly or vaguely you sense it, with the release, your higher
self can reach inside, remove something and toss it into the
sea.
When your higher self comes with a startled look, let yourself
see it.
It smiles at you; it winks. Your higher self has taken
something out of you, something that stands in the way, something
that
is the payoff, in that regard. It has thrown it away and
you did not even see what it was. Once your higher self smiles
and winks
at you, it gives you something, a gift. It is not a major
gift but a gift of clarity.
We suggest that you do this meditation for the first six days
of this
third week. It sounds complicated, but the doing is much
easier than the reading. A bit of practice also generates great
elegance
and ease.
The gift of clarity might happen the same every day or it might
be
different every day. Either way it is a point of focus. It is
something to pay attention to, something to look at and something
that
speaks to your resistance. It speaks to the resistance that
is holding you back from the clarity, from receiving more clear
and
helpful answers in meditation.
Do this for six days; the seventh day is a little different. On
the
seventh day again you release the payoffs, as you have done
before. Higher self reaches in, pulls something out and tosses
it into
the water as before. This time it does not give you a gift of
clarity.
On this seventh day of week number three, your higher self gives
you a
permanent gift. It is a gift that you can use to allow those
clearer answers. You can use it to receive more helpful, more
valuable
answers in your meditation. It could be an obvious
symbol such as a pair of glasses or a hearing aid. It could be
eardrops
or eyedrops to improve hearing and seeing. It might be a
less-obvious symbol or metaphor: It could be a special cloth
that you
place over your face. It could be a crystal or some other
gem, precious or semiprecious.
During the first six days the gift or gifts of clarity are temporary
On
the seventh day it is a permanent gift. Receive. Receive this
gift by using it in your meditations. Do not merely accept in
the
seventh meditation of this week; begin to use this gift in other
meditations - in meditations where you seek those clear answers,
those
correct answers and helpful, valuable insight.
The final week: This week's activity is to work with the gift
and what
you have learned during the previous weeks.
Do not necessarily return to the same beach or do the first week's
or
second week's activities. Use what you have learned by
going about your normal meditative regimen. In other words, if
you go to
your safe place of your inner world to do your work
or if you have a special meeting place, go about your meditative
activity there. Perhaps you work with the causal plane or the
underworld. Allow yourself your normal habitat.
We do ask that you work with four groups of questions during this
week.
Ask some questions of yourself each day during this
final week of activity.
1. During each of the previous three weeks something unknown came
up.
During the first week something unknown bubbled up
in your brain. During the second week something. . . ping. .
. dripped
the last drop. During the third week your higher self
removed something and tossed it into the water. What were these
things?
Each day ask yourself while in meditation. Each day
you might get the same answer; each day you might get different
answers,
but each day ask the question about what that
unknown was.
The first answers to seek with clarity are: What was that something
during week number one, two and three? What
dripped out of you? What flushed out of you? What was lifted
out of you
and thrown away?
2. Ask for a word; ask your higher self to give you a word each
day Say
"Today I want a word that is going to help my day be
more magical, a word that is going to help me to have a more
fun day, a
more successful day" Obviously if you are doing a
meditation late at night, then get a word for tomorrow but "I
want a
word for the day to be more magical." Do this every day for
seven days.
3. Also ask your higher self for a specific feeling or a particular
visualization that will generate a more successful day Ask this
every day It might be the same day after day, but it might well
be
different, too. Do not assume. Once you receive the feeling or
the visualization, let yourself do it, work with it each day.
4. Finally, also ask yourself, "What can I do to create ?" and
then fill
in the blank with whatever it is you want more successfully
"What can I do to create more successfully?" Demand an answer
that will
come in a picture or word or word fragments or
pieces of a puzzle. Demand an answer that you can understand.
Be open to
its symbols and metaphors, but demand .an answer
that you can understand and use. Then use it.
Now, if you ask these four questions every day, you have conditioned
yourself such that subsequently, though you might not
need to ask these same questions, the questions you do ask will
receive
clearer, more precise, more valuable answers.
As you work with these specific techniques in each of these seven-day
periods - twenty-eight days - we would suggest that
indeed you will allow yourself clearer, more valuable, more helpful
answers to come in your meditation, answers that you can
subsequently pull out of your meditation.
As you complete those activities, you will not only find greater
clarity, you will find overall greater depth, greater insights
and
more profound meditations. Not only can you bring more magic
and more
magical answers from your meditations, your
meditations themselves can become vibrant with more magic within
them.
They can become brighter and brighter; they can
become brilliant.
We love you. As long as there is light - and the light is forever
- we
shall love you. It has been wonderful to have this chance to
connect with you once again.
We close with love and peace. Lazaris
