Imbolc, Feast of the Returning Light

This feast always calls to mind the Beatles' song "Here Comes the Sun" for me because that is what its focus is -- to remember that the sun is coming back into our lives, despite the harsh coldness of winter.

Think about it.  The days are longer, aren't they?  Brighter, too.  Our calling forth of the sun from the darkness of Yule was successful.

The Maiden has begun Her journey from her Dark Husband's home.  Although She will not arrive for six weeks, the earth rejoices at her coming.
